my name is tara & i'm twenty-one years old. i live near toronto, ontario in canada. i'm not currently enrolled in school, which is unusual for someone my age, but i want to live a little more before i make any big, expensive decisions! i'm frantically looking for a full-time job, but in the meantime i take concert photos for a toronto online magazine. i've got a canon rebel XTi & i learn something new every time i shoot.

i live with my parents & my nine-year-old brother, scout. i have two wonderful best friends (who happen to be twin sisters); you couldn't ask for anyone better. for almost a year now, i've been seeing a boy named tyler. he is amazing & draws me pictures & helps me solve silly crossword puzzles on our train home from the city. he rides his skateboard alongside my bike (i love my bike almost as much as i love harry potter), & we like to watch lots of movies & eat lots of japanese food.

i went to a performing arts high school, but i haven't performed since christmas 2005. i hope to be involved backstage somewhere, someday. i'm currently (& very, very slowly) working towards opening an online business, & i'm also working on improving my art & photography. i'm constantly taking up new hobbies; right now i'm working on embroidery & learning to play the keyboard. i like to knit hats & sweaters, belt out old-school regina spektor, have photoshoots with myself in the woods, go to concerts, & dream about apartments. i like meeting people & nostalgia. expired film, scary movies, francesca lia block, soft yarn, vintage armchairs, gilded mirrors.
